This past week I took some time to set up an account on Facebook as a way to keep in contact with my customers and readers. For example, I created a group inside Facebook called "Rejoice!" which allows me to communicate, post videos and have a discussion group with people who are in my Christian coaching group at RejoiceIn2007.com.
I can also use the system to stay in contact with people who read my historical fiction novels. Many of my readers are the younger college set and Facebook is very popular with college students. So I'm hoping being active on Facebook will help me better communicate with my readers and also pick up a few new ones.
The third way I'm using my Facebook account is to keep in touch with people who use IdeaMarketers regularly. I believe what makes IdeaMarketers unique from other article directories is that IdeaMarketers has a personal touch. Visitors know there's a real person behind the site and that I'm accessible. Facebook is another medium for me to be available to my customers. Another thing that makes IdeaMarketers unique is that it's not as much about articles as it is about people. Again, Facebook is another way for me to relay to my customers just how important they are to me.
So hop on over to www.Facebook.com and look me up - "Marnie Pehrson" or join the RejoiceIn2007 group by searching for "Rejoice!" You'll need a Facebook account before you can add me as your friend. Once you have an account, you can search for my name and add me as your friend. When you do that be sure to put "IdeaMarketers Blog" in the comment area so I'll know to add you.
