Pen Names on Articles

The following question was submitted today to www.IdeaMarketers.com and I thought others might have the same question:

Q. "I currently have an account with you - but my question is: Is it not possible to have multiple author profiles for the same account? I have different sites with different pen names....how can I submit articles for my different sites?"

A. Every article has a spot where you can override the standard name, url, bio, photo and email found in your writer profile. In other words, you can specify on each article where you want it to link to and the name and bio you'd like to use on it. You only need one account - just change it on the article level. You can change this on existing articles using the Edit/View link under Article Administration or you can add this information when you Add Article

What's Popular in Searches?

Google has a nifty tool that will not only show you popular search phrases but will also show you how many sites match the keyword or phrase. For example, if you are interested in creating a dog-related site, it would be good to know what types of things dog lovers look for on the net. So if you go to the Google tool and put in the word "dog" it will show you phrases that people have searched for like dog breeds, dog names, dog training, dogs for sale and it will show you how many results there are for each so you can see how much competition there is out there for that particular term.

Can You Digg It?

I've just integrated a new feature into the articles on IdeaMarketers.com. At the bottom of the articles, you'll now find a little "Diggit" Icon that you can use to add your favorite articles to your Diggit profile. If you don't know what Digg is, if it's not the latest craze, it will be. Here's a blurb from their about page:

"Everything on Digg is submitted by our community (that would be you). After you submit content, other people read your submission and Digg what they like best. If your story rocks and receives enough Diggs, it is promoted to the front page for the millions of visitors to see.

What can you do as a Digg user? Lots. Every person can digg (help promote), bury (help remove spam), and comment on stories... you can even Digg and bury comments you like or dislike. New Year - New Look

It's a new year, so we're celebrating with a new look at IdeaMarketers.com. I've given the site a bit of a face lift which I hope will make it more professional and also easier to navigate.
