A lot of people say leave religion and politics out of your social media and/or your business. Back in 2000 when I started SheLovesGod.com, people warned me that getting too "religious" would hurt my business. It didn't. In fact, it's grown and flourished exponentially ever since.
I don't often get political, but as someone whose mantra is "highlighting truth and talent," I can't sit still when someone as honorable and steadfast as Dr. Ron Paul is proclaiming the truth about what's happening in this country and running for office. While the media has tended to ignore him, they didn't this morning. I saw on ABC where he is #1 in the Iowa polls, surpassing both Romney and Gingrich. You can't ignore the man whose been preaching, "return to the Constitution" any longer.
There are lots of reasons I'm actively supporting Ron Paul -- primarily his constant adherence to the U.S. Constitution. "By their fruits ye shall know them." Dr. Paul's voting record in Congress stands as a witness of this. He has always stood for the same things my Dad taught me growing up, "Less government, more personal responsibility, and with God's help a better world."
He constantly reminds America to stop passing laws at a centralized government level and leave issues for the states to decide. This is what the Constitution says to do. Paul is reminscent of George Washington who refused to be king, in that he will not usurp power. He consistently votes in harmony with the way the Founders designed this nation. They knew that an all-powerful centralized government that entagled itself constantly in foreign affairs would spell the downfall of our nation and destroy our liberty.
If the American way of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness means anything to you, please study the Constitution and learn more about Ron Paul at www.ronpaul2012.com . Decide for yourself which candidate honors the liberty our Founding Fathers fought and died to give us.
Dr. Paul is a shining beacon of light. He is an example to us all on how to live a life of integrity, endurance and commitment.

Eloquently spoken, Marnie! I've been hesitant to open a can of political worms on Facebook, but it's true that if we don't speak up and get someone like Ron Paul in office soon, our country will become the next USSR. We voted for him last election when he was not well known, and have kept the bumper sticker. Glad we did! :)

Thanks Lisa, Josh and Kristen! Kristen, I KNEW I liked you when I met you at RSE in April! :) We voted for him last year and have kept the sticker as well. It's worn, but it's hanging in there! :)
