Thanks for bringing me back to Earth!
It's not about BUSY work, but productive work.
I log in to Simpleolgy.com and have the wimiki that tells me when to take a break, but I have to remember to be mindful of everything around me.

Hi there Marnie.

Thanks for the words of wisdom. Yes, all those that are involved in an E-business have the dream of that 'extended vacation time' that only ends when you decide it will end!

It's true that people are more likely to achieve this freedom with an on-line business these days than with any other type of business, so it's worth pursuing...but it is still hard work requiring some grit and determination.

Thanks for the reminder to maintain perspective

Thank you for this post, Marnie!

Especially the part where you discussed about defining yourself only though what you do, and feeling to be “more” by working long hours.

What Ann Quindlen, said, "You cannot be really first-rate at your work if your work is all you are." is a written gem that many of us should read every day until we really get it.

So very true! So many people confuse Activity for Action. It is very easy to get caught up in activities that may need to get done, but do not produce the actions that are required to move ahead.

It is an awesome accomplishment to do what you want to do!

Be Well.
Paul.

Hi Marnie. Interested in your thoughts.. Does 37signals or E-myth have the right philosophy for business start-ups today? www.purlem.com/blog/?p=38
